Kattholmen is a very small island about 12 km south-west of Strömstad with a spontaneous nude beach. It is part of the Saltö national park. Leave your car at the ticket car park and walk southwards for about 1 km through the woods. You will find the sign "NAKENBAD" painted on the rocks. Wade about 20 m to the island and very nice salt ocean bathes. Rock beach with no conveniences at all. Just the fresh ocean. Kattholmen is not suitable for small children. However, according a report 2011 there is a nice beach suitable for children just where you should start wading.
